Jaipur or also known as the pink city is famous for the pink walls and the architecture and the history and culture. But we fell in love with Jaipur because of the food first.
Almost everywhere we ate on our first trip as grown ups, turned out to be such a pleasant surprise. And so began our food journey in Jaipur. We have been back a couple of times after that, all thanks to living in Delhi. And each time we go, we try out a few new places, and go back to some oldies but goodies.
So, allow us to take you to the best spots to eat in Jaipur:
1. Laxmi Mishthan Bhandar:
Or popularly known as LMB is on everyone’s list of best places to eat at in Jaipur. And rightly so. It was established in 1954 and is located in the famous Johari Bazaar. It is known for aloo tikki, kachoris and especially Ghevar, which is a traditional Indian sweet made during the monsoon months.

This place is famous for their omelettes. You might think why is a humble omelette place so special? Well, they serve more than 20 types of omelettes and it is run by a Masterchef India contestant. And that’s why the hype. The omelette does it justice though. Do try their omelette pizza or obama omelette.
5. Rawat Mishthan Bhandar:
Okay a little confession, we are a bit obsessed with kachoris. And especially when it is about pyaaz kachoris. They make for a perfect snack in the evenings in between your shopping trips.
6. Chawla’s and Nand’s:
Chawla’s and Nand’s are two shops that serve amazing pani puris. And who doesn’t love pani puris? They are both competitors and both serve amazing pani puris and are favourites among the locals. Choose from a variety of spicy, sweet and tangy chutneys to go with these. Our favourite is always the tangy and the spicy mix.
