Hello from two IG addicts!
We love everything about this platform. We love how it is such a visual platform and allows people to be so creative. It is also great to connect with people who do not speak the same language as you.
And because it is such a visual platform, you obviously need killer content to grow on Instagram. IG is really saturated these days and the platform favours the accounts that have unique content, that is visually engaging too.
And we know how difficult it is to maintain an aesthetic feed on Instagram. We have been there ourselves and have tried a couple of different things with our account. And now, we have finally figured out the best ways to maintain an aesthetic feed, for a more engaged audience. We also have a more detailed post on how to grow your Instagram Audience, if that’s something that interests you. So here are our top tips:
Maintain a Color theme: This one is a no brainer.Having a similar color theme across your feed is such a neat idea to maintain an aesthetic feed. And it is quite easy too if you choose the right colors. You don’t have to just select a single color, we always advise that you select 2-3 colors that you often use. Like blues, greens and browns/pinks. And then try and lay out your posts in such a way that there is good mix of all the colors.
The best example for this is Sarah from Saltyluxe

PRESETS: Adobe Lightroom presets are one of our fav ways to edit our pictures and keep the consistency going in the feed. Presets are like customisable filters that you can use on your photos to make them all look more consistent. So basically all your blues look similar and the greens have same tones and it helps all the pictures blend well together when you look at the gallery as a whole.
Lisa Homsy from Lisahomsy has some stunning presets.

Wardrobe: Okay, this is not for everyone. But having solid colors in your wardrobe and having similar color clothes will instantly make your feed look more consistent. And it makes packing for a trip easy too. Ofcourse choose some colors that look good in every location, like white, red and choose solid colors for dresses. This obviously won’t work if you are a fashion blogger, but we think for everyone else, this is an easy fix.
Hannah and nick from Saltinourhair do have a lot of red, oranges and whites in their wardrobe and it blends so nicely in their gallery.

Try out a saturated feed: Saturated feeds also look really aesthetic and again, are really easy to maintain. you do not need to fixate on a single color, just go for saturated color theme to make your feed look more consistent.
Samkolder has one of the most beautiful feeds on instagram and his pictures have quite saturated tones.

Desaturated Airy feed: This is pretty common among lifestyle bloggers and is such a cool airy looking theme. It is fun, bright and a bit desaturated, so you don’t have to worry about having a lot of different colors in your theme because they are going to be desaturated anyway and will go together perfectly.
Aspyn ovard does this theme brilliantly.

So go on try one of these cool ways to make your Instagram feed look so much more aesthetic. Which one if your favourite? let us know in the comments below! 🙂
