In today’s post we are talking about 12 ways to always look put together. Or daily habits of women who always look put together without much efforts.

12 ways to look put together everyday:
#1: Manicured nails:
Nothing is as off putting as dry torn cuticles and messy worn off nail paint, right? And there is something about well manicured nails that makes you think that this woman has her life together. Something about getting a fresh manicure makes you feel good, right?
And no, we aren’t talking about the expensive manicures that you need to get done every other week. It can be as simple as applying a nail polish, just make sure it isn’t in a color that screams out loud. Try applying a nail paint in a neutral color as it looks more polished.
Here are some things that you can do for a more chic look:
- Make sure to take care of your cuticles. A little cuticle oil before sleeping should do the trick.
- Whenever you are doing household chores like dishes or gardening, make sure you’re wearing gloves.
- Get a good hand cream that’s moisturising and use it religiously.
- Just like you use face packs, use de tanning masks and hydrating masks every now and then. I love a very simple one that you can make at home using yogurt, honey and sesame oil.
#2: Easy 5 minute hairstyles:
Doing your hair is the easiest way to look more put together. There are tons of videos on youtube of easy hairstyles that you can do in about 5 minutes. Practise some on a weekend and see which ones you like and which ones are actually easy to do.
And whenever stepping out, make sure you are taking 5 minutes to do your hair. And no you don’t have to spend hours doing your curls or straitening your hair every morning. Buns and a sleek look ponytail also does the trick and are super easy to do. A middle part sleek pony is my go to hairstyle on most days.
Again, making sure you are taking care of your hair is something that you don’t have to do just when you are going out. But when your hair is healthy and clean, it makes all the difference.
Some general tips for healthy hair are:
- Oiling it at least once a week. i usually prefer coconut oil and keep it for about 4 hours before washing it off.
- Washing your hair every 3-4 days and letting it air dry. I do not use any heat on my hair. But if you use heat to style your hair, make sure you’re using a hair spray that protects against damage from heat.
- Use a deeply hydrating hair mask once a week or every two weeks to keep your hair healthy.
#3: Dress according to body type:
Dressing according to your body type and knowing what looks good on you makes you look put together instantly. Also, being comfortable in what you are wearing boosts your confidence and makes you look good like nothing else does.
Fit of your clothes is super important too. So befriend your tailor incase you need to get clothes altered regularly.Make sure that the clothes that you are wearing are not too tight or too loose that they look shabby.
BONUS: Whenever dressing for going out, take 5 minutes to steam your clothes first.
#4: Accessorise:
Accessories can make or break your entire look and can take you from looking okay-ish to put together in 5 minutes.
And don’t over accessorise too. You don’t want to over do it. Keep it simple. So add a watch, a handbag that goes with almost all your outfits and some simple jewellery pieces. If you are going for chunky earrings, skip the neckpiece. And if you’re layering neck pieces, consider wearing only studs.
#5: Classic wardrobe pieces:
Classic wardrobe pieces like a vintage dark washed denim can instantly make you look put together. So do classic satin or silk camis. Consider investing in some good quality classic wardrobe pieces that make it easy to look put together without putting in much efforts.

#6: No flip flops:
Even if you are all dressed and have accessorised right, your shoes can make or break your entire look. If you want to look more put together, leave your flip flops at home. Consider getting some leather slides that are as comfortable and look 1000 times more chic.
I have slides in tan and black and they go with almost everything.
While we are talking about shoes, leave your Uggs at home too. They are no longer a fashion statement (in my opinion they never were lol)
#7: Skin care & lip gloss:
Skin acre and lipgloss are so under-rated when it comes to looking put together. Healthy skin that glows makes all the difference. And a little lip gloss goes a long way.
So make sure to take proper care of your skin. Because when you have glowing skin, you don’t need to spend much time on your makeup to look put together.
You also need to make sure that you are keeping yourself hydrated because it so important for healthy skin.
Also, add lip gloss or a lipstick to instantly elevate your look.
#8: Learn 5 minute Minimal makeup:
While lipgloss or a lipstick is all you need to instantly make you look put together, it doesn’t hurt to put on a little makeup too. And just like hairstyles, you can find a lot of videos on youtube that teach you to put on a minimal makeup look in a few minutes.
And if you are really pressed for time, consider just filling in your brows, adding a little mascara and some concealer. It really doesn’t take that much to look put together.
#9: Sunglasses:
Sunglasses make you look put together and can elevate your entire look.
So make sure to grab your sunglasses on your way out. I always keep mine in my handbag so I don’t forget.
#10: Take time to style looks:
Take some time to style looks before hand, so that you don’t have to spend time on it every single day. Take some time out on the weekends to put together some outfits and also to style them with proper accessories. Because looking put together is so much more than just pairing some clothes. remember that accessories make all the difference.
Over a period of time you will have some outfits that you know work perfectly for you.
#11: have a uniform ready:
Have a uniform ready. And no, not like the ones you used to wear in school. A uniform is basically an outfit that you know works together. You know what accessories go with it.And what shoes go with the outfit.
You also have a very clear idea of what hairstyle looks best with this “uniform”.
This uniform will come in handy when you are super busy and have absolutely no time to put together an outfit in the morning. You can wear this uniform knowing that you are looking your absolute best without having to think about it.
#12: Try a capsule wardrobe:
While we are talking about outfits that go together, capsule wardrobes work amazingly.
Capsule wardrobe is a selection of clothing pieces that you know go together. These are basically clothes that can be easily mixed and matched to make new outfits. Usually capsule wardrobes are easy to curate when you have a neutral color theme going on. It’s also great if all you have is classic pieces that you know look good individually and also together.
These are all my tips to look put together every single day. these tips will make you look like you have put a lot of thought into your outfit and that you have taken your time to get ready in the mornings, even when you actually didn’t. And no one needs to know that you spent just 15 minutes in getting ready. We won’t tell, if you don’t! 😉
See you next time!
